Tourism, Parks and Recreation

Government has a responsibility to ensure that the beauty and integrity of our natural heritage is not compromised for future generations, and so we have several priorities for the province’s parks and protected areas:

• Ensure that Alberta’s protected areas are safe from commercial and industrial intrusion.

• Minimize costly user fees so that all Albertans have access to Alberta’s parks and recreational areas.

• Expand the number of trails available for off-highway vehicle use to reduce the disruptive use of such vehicles in Alberta’s parks and protected areas.
